What is the cost of Path-Away?
Cost Questionaire

Will Path-Away kill 100% of all airborne microorganisms?
Yes and on a single pass in a HVAC application. Path-Away is the perfect and the only choice to get the job done in HVAC applications. Also, Path-Away does its job without producing any secondary contamination!

According to EPA standards what harmful chemicals does Path-Away use to attain 100% efficacy?
None.

Where is it installed?
Path-Away is designed specifically for HVAC systems. To optimize its operation it is inserted in the supply air duct immediately downstream from the air handling unit.

Does Path-Away fit any size building?

We customize each installation because most HVAC systems are unique in design and architecture. Our engineers will complete a site survey to determine the size for the required unit and it will be built to spec. We can accommodate any size building by integrating one or more units as the need dictates.

What is UVC and how does it work in Path-Away?

UVC is a magnetic waveform, and like all such waveforms emanating from the sun its properties are unique to its wavelength. This "C" part of the UV family has proven germicidal affects, especially the 260-nanometer frequency. In the simplest of terms, a microorganism's DNA is the target of the 253.7 nm wavelength. It destroys DNA causing cell death or making replication (cell division) impossible. Beyond this, UVC can degrade simple organic material at the molecular level.

Does UVC alone give you 100% efficacy in Path-Away?
No, not 100%. Hundreds of references to UVC's efficacy can be found in literature and in actual applications. The most recent are the cooperative Extended Abstract from NIOSH and the University of Cincinnati. Here, UVC was tested against the heartiest of bacteria and it demonstrated a two-log plus kill (95+ %). Another is the Tulsa University study conducted at the Public Service Company of Oklahoma wherein another two-log reduction was achieved, this time with airborne mold. Path-Away utilizes three other components in its patented technology which gives 100% efficacy.

What does the acronym UVGI mean?
UVC is the frequency that is the most germicidal of the UV family. The term UVGI refers to Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation that is used by Federal Agencies such OSHA, NIOSH and the CDC when referring to UVC. The term UVC Emitters is more common today.

What if microbes are attached to dust particles?
The Path-Away patented application methodology of being downstream of the filter and the coil helps to compensate for this. Here, much of the dust is removed to un-hide the target. Also, UVC is focused and reflected hundreds of millions of times per square inch, throughout the chamber, increasing the flux density (number of photons) within. As the microbe enters and passes through it is tumbling and UVC energy is reflecting from every possible angle providing a continuous 360° global energy assault. Path-Away utilizes a water mist in its process to wet the particles and the attached microbes are then neutralized by other components in our system.

What is deactivation?
Small doses of UVC energy may not cause immediate cell death but the microbe may be "inactivated". This means that some biological function may still exist but replication is impossible so the organism is considered as non-viable. Simply, the organism cannot multiply rendering it innocuous. These small doses however, can and do hasten cell death. The other functioning components insure 100% efficacy produced by Path-Away.

How much maintenance is required on Path-Away?
Path-Away comes with an annual maintenance agreement covering its components. The system requires intermittent service to replenish components which are part of the system. This may be quarterly, semi-annually or annually. The system is robust and requires relatively very little maintenance. Because Path-Away eliminates mold and other bacteria that will cause the deterioration of the HVAC system it extends the life of the HVAC system and reduces overall maintenance costs.

What are the security features on Path-Away to insure 100% uptime?
Path-Away is micro-processor controlled to insure that this system is optimized and to regulate the functioning of the major components. Additionally we have built redundancy into its features to eliminate the possible failure of its components.

Are the products UL Listed?
We are in the process of UL approval..

What is the warranty?
Path-Away is warranted for one year against defects (parts and labor) and the maintenance agreement covers the unit for as long as the owner contracts with this service
